**Job Summary**:

**Main Responsabilities**:

- Design and create the technology platform and pipeline, formula Funding the Growth and simplification strategies, and new products focused on delighting the consumer, taking a consumer or professional insight or a technology lead and leveraging it in support of the category strategies.
- Define the technical strategy for selected areas including formula-driven improved delivery and efficacy, next-generation ingredients, and new product forms and sensory signals, increasing the number of patents and intellectual property, delivering added value for the company.
- Serve as the critical linkage to the rest of the Global Technology organization for each category, and provides the central category voices to our global and division business partners - Global Marketing, Division Innovation and Marketing, and Global Supply Chain.
- Under the guidance of their supervisors, responsible for carrying out technical experiments requiring a thorough knowledge of laboratory and/or process technology center techniques and equipment, recording test data, and alerting supervisors concerning unusual results or trends in test runs.
- Perform varied routine analysis on samples following standard test procedures, evaluations or physical properties testing on products or raw materials.
- Prepare lab and pilot plant batches of product, as directed.
- Prepare, monitor, and evaluate samples for aging and stability.
- Operate/be familiar with various appropriate instrumentation or equipment for various analyses.
- Have thorough knowledge of laboratory and process technology center techniques and equipment, and assist in developing/improving product evaluation methods, procedures, and processes.
- Assist in product formulation and process development.
- Collect, record, analyze and interpret test data. Explain any factors affecting reliability or accuracy of test data.
- Ensure equipment is functioning as designed and conduct routine maintenance of equipment assigned.
- Ensure assigned activities are conducted and documented according to Quality requirements and systems; implement applicable preventive or corrective actions.
- Understand and use safe handling procedures for corrosive chemicals, gases, high pressure steam, flammable solvents, and fine particle size powders.
- Perform selected Quality and Environmental Affairs, Occupational Health and Safety (EOHS) tasks as per team’s Quality plan; ensure that Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and EOHS practices are followed in the work area.

**Education and Qualifications**:

- Required: Associate's Degree/College Diploma - MAJOR: (or two years of college in bachelor's curriculum) Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Material Science (hard surfaces, têxtiles), or Biotechnology.
- Preferred (Asset): Bachelor's Degree - MAJOR: Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Material Science (hard surfaces, têxtiles), or Biotechnology.
- 1-3 Years of Consumer Goods Industry Experience Preferred
- 1-3 Years of Functional Experience Preferred
- Proficiency in oral and written in English
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Preferred: Ability to document procedures (e.g., Standard Operating Procedures and Standard Practice Instructions)
