**Head of Transport Inbound Planner North America**

**About the job**

RHI Magnesita is seeking a dynamic Head of Transport Inbound Planner North America. This role is full
- time can sit anywhere at Mexico

As the Head of Transport Inbound Planner North America, you will actively shape the RM transport strategy and road map for Mexico, USA, and Canada. You will be responsible for all raw material transportation flows in the NAM region and leading and developing a high performing department. The team is closely collaborating with stakeholders from regional and global function. You will support and lead regional and cross regional initiatives aiming to be the benchmark for the RM planning organization.

The Head of Transport Inbound Planner North America will travel both domestically and internationally with about 20% travel time.

**The Head of Transport Inbound Planner North America tasks will include**:

- Developing RM performance management
- Creating and controlling performance relevant KPIs
- Create, lead, and support cross-functional company initiatives/projects

Freight Purchasing:

- Support of freight tenders
- Quoting of freights on the spot market according to purchasing guideline
- Close cooperation with Global Purchasing in terms of network designs and new projects

Freight Handling:

- Continuous development and optimization of transport and warehouse concepts
- Coordination of sea-, land
- and air transports in terms of guidelines of the load security and other special requirements (dangerous goods guidelines, waste transports of recycling materials)
- Track and trace of transports and warehouse inventory
- Support and handling of transport issues and complaints
- Planning Transportation based on demand necessity

Transport performance reporting:

- Control of all transportation costs (demurrage, storage, container cleaning etc.)
- Leading projects for costs reductions

Process & Quality Management:

- Handling and coordination of transport claims, claim management and trouble shooting

**About you**

Do you have:

- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or similar is required
- Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or similar is required
- Experience in Holistic Logistic, Transport or Shipping Manager
- Excellent English is required
- High proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Power BI, Teams)
- Good understanding of financial economics
- High proficiency with use of an ERP, preferably SAP, MRP, or similar system for data input, output, report creation and data analysis
- Power BI is a plus
- Strong experience in the function and leadership role desirable
- Works effectively and collaboratively, including clear written and verbal communications
- Sense of urgency and analytical skills that can provide forward-thinking solutions with a holistic view
- Positive mindset, and strong decision-making ability
