**Description**:
ECOM Agroindustrial Corp. Ltd is a leading global commodity merchant and sustainable supply chain management company. Operating in over 40 major producing countries worldwide, ECOM focuses primarily on coffee, cotton, and cocoa, as well as participating in selected other agricultural product markets. ECOM is one of the top three merchants in coffee, the largest coffee miller, and amongst the top four merchants in both cotton and cocoa.

**The role**

The Management Trainee will support SMS Coffee management, collaborate with local SMS teams in the development, implementation, and reporting of sustainability projects at local, regional, and global levels. The trainee will participate in field activities and field visits when deemed necessary with local SMS management and SMS global management.

**Requirements**:
**Tasks and Responsibilities**

Sustainability Services and Projects:

- Participate in discussions with clients and partners for sustainability services.
- Elaborate sales pitches and concept notes for clients and partners.
- Coordinate discussions with local, global SMS teams, and partners.
- Support local teams with information gathering and drafting of project proposals.
- Elaborate and/or review budget and project financials with local teams.
- Monitor project implementation and reporting to partners.

Biochar and Regenerative Agriculture Initiatives:

- Support the development and implementation of biochar and Regenerative Agriculture projects.
- Assist in soil health initiatives, including data collection and analysis.
- Collaborate with local teams to integrate biochar and soil health practices into existing sustainability projects.

Coffee Sustainability Strategy:

- Support the elaboration and implementation of coffee sustainability strategies.
- Coordinate data collection from local teams for sustainability reporting.
- Analyze and provide reports on SMS data collection and performance related to coffee sustainability.

**Additional Profile Requirements**

Education and Knowledge:

- ** Background in environmental sustainability or agricultural sciences, bachelor’s or master’s degree.**:

- **Previous internship or work experience in agriculture, sustainability, or supply chain management.**:

- **Familiarity with international sustainability certifications (Rainforest Alliance, UTZ, Fairtrade) and with sustainability metrics and key performance indicators.**:

- **Understanding of global commodity markets and supply chain management, particularly coffee.**

**Skills**:

- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (Excel, PowerBI).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a multicultural environment.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- Fluency in English, good proficiency in Spanish (Portuguese or other third language as a plus).

- Cultural sensitivity and ability to work effectively in diverse environments.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently.

**Position Details**

As part of the programme, the trainee will receive travel and accommodation support.
