**JOB SUMMARY**:
This Senior QA Engineer position will be expected to perform test planning and execution tasks, developing automated test scripts as well as help mentor junior team members. Additionally, our Test Engineers are expected to make suggestions to streamline our QA processes and practices.

**Job **D **uties**:

- Create and Execute both manual and automated tests for Omni products
- Reproduce and clearly document defects
- Participate in root-cause analysis of critical defects
- Help guide the team’s testing methodologies
- Ensure best possible test coverage from our manual and automation test suites
- Identifies risks and issues proactivel y and drives creative solutions
- Analyzes system errors and suggest corrective measur es
- Validate deployments to test environments and production environments
- Work with Product Management and Engineering to maintain understanding of the product and underlying technology
- Other QA duties as assigned

**Essential Qualifications**:

- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Comp uter Sci ence or equivalent experience.
- 6 to 7 years’ experience in Quality Engineering /Assurance of Embedded Systems.
- Experience with embedded Linux development and testing
- Experience in automation - development and testing of automation scripts
- Minimum 3 to 4 - year s ’ experience with scripting languages like Python.
- Experience with Jira, GitHub, Confluence or similar tool chains for Agile development, test case management, source control, and documentation.
- Solid understanding of project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, analysis & design, development, testing, and deployment

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Strong preference for large scale telematics and/or internet of things experience.
- Knowledge in TDD/CI/CD
- Experience with reporting and visualization tools for the purpose of beta production monitoring
- An independent worker who can take the initiative to develop test methods, automation methods
- A team player that works hard, admits his/her strengths and weaknesses, and has the flexibility to improve by learning new things
- Knowledge in Splunk, Kibana a plus
- Excellent communication skills, which include active listening and the ability to present complex ideas in concise written and verbal descriptions which are easily understood by both technical and non-technical audiences
- An organized individual who is very detail oriented and can develop plans necessary for testing and quality monitoring
- ISTQB Test certification
