Senior People and Culture Partner

Overview
This senior partner leads, designs, implements, and advises on complex People and Culture programs and policies, including performance management, talent management, discipline, compensation, benefits, equal opportunity and employee relations. The senior partner works to build trusted partnerships and shared accountability with staff and leaders by aligning People and Culture initiatives to neighbor's strategic priorities. For this particular role, the primary purpose will be to facilitate organizational accountability and integrity through prevention, detection and investigations of employee misconduct within Compassion. You will be responsible for conducting moderately complex investigations and preparing investigation reports to communicate findings to management amd supporting the recommendation of safeguards to eliminate future breaches. You will also contribute to the establishment of systems and standards for conducting employee investigations.
What will you do?
Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion’s ministry in prayer.
- Acts as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Understands Christ’s mandate to protect children. Commits to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Abides by all behavioral expectations in Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Reports any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately supports responses to incidents if they occur.

- Influences executives, national, global, and functional leaders to accomplish strategic initiatives through the organization’s workforce by understanding the business and advising leaders how to deepen workforce engagement towards attaining Compassion’s goals and staff feeling Known, Loved and Connected.
- Uses current and complete understanding of local, national, and applicable international laws and regulations covering employment issues to protect Compassion’s interests by ensuring the ministry is in compliance with legal requirements as well as providing and implementing relevant recommendations to the client groups on necessary practice/program changes to meet these requirements.
- Investigates and designs resolutions regarding employee or other stakeholder concerns around performance management, improvement, harassment, discrimination, misconduct, and similar matters.
- Plans and performs moderately complex investigations of threats and allegations of fraud and other misconduct in accordance with Compassion policy and applicable professional standards, including investigation scoping, planning, and fieldwork. Provides clear and concise reports (verbal and written) and presentations of findings and communicates recommendations to relevant Compassion management and leadership.
- Manages and promotes the communication and operations of Compassion’s EthicsPoint hotline and supports efforts to maintain a comprehensive global repository for all allegations of misconduct, by ensuring that all such complaints are acknowledged timely, routed appropriately, investigated thoroughly, and documented effectively
- Conducts investigations in a Biblical manner, while respecting the principles of confidentiality, objectivity and impartiality while supporting opportunities for training and development of ministry partner workers.
- Frequently coaches, provides expertise, and may oversee the work of other investigators and People & Culture professionals.
What do you bring?
- Ten years Relevant experience working in human resources or people and culture.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Must be fluent in English and Spanish
- May be required to travel up to 20% of normal schedule
