**THE COMPANY**

**THE POSITION**

Our client is looking for an initiative-taking, hands-on Production Manager to direct the daily planning and production activities to meet customer requirements in a dynamic and challenging environment. The Production Manager is also the Continuous Improvement Leader, working with the other plant leaders, to drive the company’s management systems and daily improvements. The Production Manager ensures daily production schedules are met, while maximizing efficiency and quality in a safety-first environment. The ideal Production Manager is an inspiring leader who can build a strong culture and motivate the team to achieve ALW’s key performance indicators for safety, quality, delivery, and cost on a consistent basis.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervising and managing all activities related to initiative-taking production planning for all manufacturing processes and departments.
- Leading the development, analysis, and revision of production plans.
- Coordinating closely with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements to achieve all company KPI’s.
- Estimating costs and preparing budgets.
- Organizing workflow to meet specification and deadlines.
- Monitoring production to quickly resolve issues.
- Supervising and evaluating the performance of production personnel, including supervisors.
- Determining the number of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials, etc.) to accomplish company goals.
- Evaluating maintenance work, purchasing of equipment, etc.
- Ensuring all quality standards are met for every production order.
- Ensuring health and safety precautions are followed consistently and completely. Providing timely, consistent, and accurate reports and updates to the General Manager and Executive Team.
- Closely monitoring and reporting any critical shortages, teaming up with purchasing and warehouse functions to avoid shutting down production lines.
- Monitoring daily production reports and following up on production variances to plan, fully understanding root causes and establishing corrective actions.
- Monitoring On-Time Delivery on a daily and weekly basis per committed shipping dates, taking necessary actions to achieve OTD targets.
- Analyzing production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes, tools and human resource needs.

**THE CANDIDATE**
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration or production management preferred.
- 5-years+ experience as a production manager or equivalent in a manufacturing environment.
- Deep knowledge of production management best practices and methodologies.
- Lean Manufacturing background (5S, problem solving, Visual management, Kaizen, Standard work) with prior direct leadership of Lean transformation and sustainability.
- Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations.
- Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts.
- Results-oriented and experience reporting on key production metrics.
- Proficient in MS Office and ERP software.
- Outstanding communication, organizational, analytical and leaderships skills.
- Attention to detail, sense of urgency, and strong decision-making skills.
- Excellent collaborator with a powerful sense of responsibility and ownership.
- Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
