Senior Data Software Engineer

We are seeking a driven **Senior Data Software Engineer** to join our team and contribute to building a new platform for our client.

**Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and implement scalable data solutions on the Palantir platform
- Develop and optimize Spark-based data pipelines, ensuring high performance for large-scale data processing
- Write efficient and clean Python code to facilitate data engineering workflows
- Utilize PySpark for advanced data manipulation and transformation within distributed frameworks
- Conduct root cause analysis on internal and external data to address business questions and identify improvement opportunities
- Implement DevOps/DataOps practices, including Agile workflows, sprint planning, and continuous integration
- Design data architectures and models tailored to business requirements and scalable solutions
- Perform relational database operations, including complex SQL query authoring and database optimization
- Provide technical expertise and strategic input for solution analysis and decision-making processes
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure project alignment and delivery excellence

**Requirements**:

- 3+ years of experience in Data Software Engineering
- Hands-on experience with Palantir, PySpark, and Python
- Proficiency in Spark data pipelines and optimization in large-scale environments
- Advanced knowledge in relational databases and SQL query optimization, with familiarity across diverse databases
- Background in data analysis and analytics with proven ability to perform root cause analysis on business-critical processes
- Expertise in DevOps/DataOps methodologies like Agile code management, sprints, and CI/CD practices
- Capability to understand and analyze detailed business requirements while making strategic solution decisions
- Strong communication skills in English, at or above a B2 proficiency level

**Nice to have**
- Experience in insurance, reinsurance, or financial industries
- Familiarity with Azure Databricks
- Experience working with Azure Data Services
