Your tasks - Interface to R&D in respect to Manufacturing technology along the development process of AN (from pre-development to serial production) - Guiding and aligning manufacturing principles during the development phase. - Standardization and continuous improvement of existing technologies in Operations. Feedback new needs into the operations organization. - Support and create manufacturing technology roadmap for dedicated technology fields - Align all stakeholders (production, R&D, etc.) what technologies/processes/materials are needed to be developed and maintained in order to achieve the quality and cost targets for the products in production. - Lead standardization strategy on testing (across BA AN plants) - Develop a map with the competencies needed in the Manufacturing Locations under AN responsibility and locations where AN has production activities. - Rate the competency level of the Manufacturing Locations in the dedicated testing field. Identify white spots and create training planes. - Promote and lead International best practice transfer (Yokoten) for the dedicated test fields. - Responsible for the setup and maintenance of a worldwide network of partners (within BA AN) inside that test field - Support all TechNet activities across BU and AOM - International planning of test strategy in cooperation with R&D. - Creation of standards for the different test fields. (“Cookbook"; Standard documents, Technology description, etc.) - Perform evaluation and introduction of new test processes as well as test equipment including new product launches - Be first contact for suppliers, Project teams, central functions for the dedicated test field. - Provide expert consulting support for management, development and production in case of new project or test technology - Part of the A.A.N. Operations Organization (A AN O IE North America) - Position located in GDA La Tijera Plant - Main Position Tasks / Responsibilities: - Plan and align technology strategy in production - Harmonize technologies (machine, method, material) worldwide - Initialize and lead harmonization projects - Support worldwide ramp of new technologies and design for manufacturing - Setup and maintain network of technology partners - Ensure benchmark and transfer of best practices - Support in case of local crisis issues - Map required technology competencies of plants - Foster gap closure, know how transfer and training - Create and align roadmap for (new) technologies - Scan market trends and involve internal and external suppliers - Evaluate and introduce new technologies and products **Profile**: - Bachelor´s degree, preferably in technical field, preferred Master Degree, preferably in technical field (mechanical engineering, test engineering etc.) - Project Experience in technology field > 5 years (technology project, process implementation project etc.) - Advanced English communication mandatory - Experience in working with international teams - Preferred experience working abroad - Understanding of different foreign cultures Design for Manufacturing Role: - Leading and steering equipment sourcing - Know-how in several important processes, line design as well as manufacturing technologies as robotics, material handling, screw driving, + Know-how in mechatronics and how to work with plant IE and purchasing - Know-how in assembly line planning over several years (simple lines, complex lines, various products) - Know-how in automation - High understanding of automotive processes and quality rules - Risk management (technical / economical) - Strategy Deployment **Offer**: At Continental we are committed to building an inclusive and discrimination-free ecosystem in Mexico, these principles are rooted in our corporate philosophy and culture.
