We are looking for a talented Quality Assurance Manager to join our team specialized in QUALITY for our Power Systems Business Segment in San Luis Potosí, S.L.P, MEXICO..
In this role, you will have an impact in the following ways:
- The Site Quality Leader creates value by building an effective team, managing daily operations, or supporting initiatives that enable the function, business unit, or customer to achieve their business objectives.
- Manages and may lead the development, implementation and maintenance of subsets or all aspects of the plant's quality system.
- Supervises improvement teams to ensure objectives are met and reported (for example: Right First Time (RFT) Improvements, cost of poor quality, Product Quality Council) for the site.
- Ensures site quality assessments and audits are performed in accordance with the plant quality system.
- Responsible for ensuring site products and processes meet initial and long-term quality standards (Customer Specific Requirements, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), production part approval process documentation submission [ PPAP], etc.).
- Defends continuous improvement initiatives at the plant through the use of industry-proven methodology; Core tools.
- Manages the Six Sigma process in the plant (examples: is the refinement facilitator, is a Master Black Belt [MBB] who operates in the plant, and establishes and tracks certification progress, etc.).
- Establishes priorities and quality requirements when implementing new technologies at the site level.
To be successful in this position, you will need the following:
- Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering; Electrical, Electronic or related
- 5 to 7 years of experience in a quality position in manufacturing processes and continuous improvement
- Minimum 3 years of management experience preferred
- Experience in personnel management and development (Management of work teams of at least 5 people)
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, problem solving with 7 steps, six sigma, etc.
- Experience and Management of Core tools for continuous improvement
- Experience in ISO, UL SSA, SGS quality standards
- Experience in starting new processes
- English: Advanced (Conversational)
