Tasks

**Overview**:
**Core Responsibilities**:

- Support in mechanical component design of housings, connectors, covers, and brackets from initial design to production launch.
- Work closely with internal team and OEM's for product packaging and integration into the vehicle.
- CAD (models and drawings) creation, modification, and maintenance (Catia V5).
- Support cross-functional domains where necessary on product development.
- Change management on entire project level (documentation and part number release using SAP or equivalent tool).
- Support mechanical component sourcing process from early prototype to production PPAP.
- Evaluate manufacturability of designed parts.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with more than 5 years applicable experience.
- 3D and 2D CATIA V5 knowledge in advanced / expert level
- Knowledge and experience with GD&T
- Plastic injection molding parts design experience
- Ability to work with other team members in global locations is a must.
- Professional experience in Automotive Products
- Excellent oral and written communication skills (Presentations, Test reports, etc.)
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Logical problem solver, pays attention to detail
- Work in a team environment, strong initiative, self motivated and flexible
- Fluent in both writing and speaking English.
- Excellent organizational skills.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Plastic injection molding cosmetic parts design experience
- CAE / FEA knowledge
- FORD / GM/FCA team center knowledge / experience
- CAD data management experience
- Stamping parts design knowledge
- Plastic injection process experience
