**Responsibilities**:

- To administrate resources, people, budget and infrastructure of an Elektrobit (EB) R&D department to achieve the strategic and financial objectives of the Business Area (BA) in Mexico.
- The R&D SW Dev Manager is responsible in the location for a R&D main department performance and results. Main Departments are sub-organizations within the BA R&D organization and are usually focus on one function, discipline, product line, competence center or project type.
- Align the department goals and targets according to the Global/Regional R&D Department and R&D BA location Head.
- Transport the strategies, roadmaps, culture, processes methods and tools specific from the Global/Regional R&D Department to the department in the location.
- Discuss and update with the Global/Regional R&D Department Head and R&D BA location Head the hiring plan.
- Identify and develop new functions, groups, disciplines and responsibilities for the department in the location.
- Participate as part of the world wide or regional BA R&D department community on strategical workshops and BA initiatives.
- Identify and clearly document the infrastructure plan (requirements in the location) for the department in the location.
- Represent the R&D Department's interest in the location.
- Be part of the BU location decision board. Participate on the measures defined to create synergies among R&D Mexico groups to improve R&D efficiency and Quality.
- Contribute in the definition and realization of the long term BA location's strategy.
- To recruit, train, develop and mentor the talent within the department in the location according the organizational structure defined by the BA Mexico.
- Develop the department's organization according to the strategy and responsibility of the BA Mexico.
- To fulfill, adequate and develop descriptions for the new positions within the department in the location
- Manage and execute specific retention measures defined by BA Mexico.
- Perform all the activities and responsibilities related to a lead leaders and lead people manager.
- Define, review, discuss, deploy and monitor the budget / forecast goals, objectives and tasks for the Cost Centers under responsibility.
- Follow an execute the expenses and investments plan according to the defined budget.
- Accountable for the Financial productivity for the Cost Centers and / or Projects under responsibility.
- Accountable for the process compliance culture within the department in the location.
- Make sure his department complies with all the processes and policies. Promote, update when required and create specific BA's processes to ensure quality as required.
- Define and Implement a Quality Strategy in the department in the location.
- Develop, monitor and report KPIs related to the operational performance of the department in the location.
- Monitor, define improvement measures and report business partner satisfaction status.
- Identify organizational development measures to add more value from the department in the location to the BA Mexico.
- Define the specific department long term strategy aligned with the Global/Regional BA department strategy and BA at the location.

**Qualifications**:
**Profile**:

- 10+ years experience in Automotive Industry or similar
- 3+ years experience in an R&D Management discipline experience
- 8+ years leading SW/Val projects and/or teams
- 3+ years leading leaders in R&D or BA functions
- 2+ Year Intercultural Experience
