Interior Designer, Associate Account Coordinator

We are hiring an
**Interior Designer for the SWS Team** to
**design, standard’s development, and account management for Steelcase’s largest accounts.** The role supports the design before, during and after the sale process, from thought-starters to installation. The designer must have experience crafting proposals that utilize a keen understanding of the customer's business needs. An SWS Associate Interior designer is building the skills to be proficient in all stages of the design process while demonstrating the ability to complete detailed oriented work with accuracy.

**Required Skills and Competencies**
- Bachelor’s degree in an Interior Design, Architecture, or Industrial Design.
- Advanced English - Excellent Verbal and written communication skills.
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role is a must.
- Adobe is a must.
- MS Office environment proficient
**Preferred Skills and Competencies**
- AutoCAD, Sketch up, Revit (a plus)
- Developing experience as an account manager regarding the design development: Ability to lead or interest in developing leadership skills around design proposals and strategic product selection, by creating and maintaining the design standards’ development for Steelcase’s largest accounts, providing solutions that fulfill client needs and win business.
- Preferred experience as a designer in projects of critical importance to the organization under the team’s supervision. Able to create solutions for complex design scenarios on key accounts. These projects carry substantial responsibility.
- Developing experience planning, organizing, and providing direction on multiple large projects while working with multi-disciplinary teams both internal.
- Able to successfully structure and document design related information with the objective of providing direction to dealers and/or other Steelcase partners to assist them in successful execution of projects.
