Identify hazardous workplace conditions, measure and control chemical and physical hazards, and provide recommendations on how to remove hazards and/or protect employees. Prepare and calibrate testing equipment. Create, update, and review H&S related policies and procedures, conduct and develop safe work practice training courses, and provide assistance and/or recommendations for new equipment design or process changes. Takes effective steps to ensure that workplace conditions comply with applicable federal, state and country occupational safety and health standards. Participates in regulatory, internal and third party inspections and any procedures or corrective actions that may follow an audit. Investigate reports of near misses, injuries and fatalities. Identify and develop strategies, programs, or initiatives that positively affect employee health and safety and reduce environmental impact. Assists in the implementation of ISO 14001 and other applicable systems. -Develop and implement environmental system (ISO 14001) and safety and health system (ISO 45001) -Improve compliance by implementing or supporting health and safety programs and policies -Conduct and manage industrial hygiene and environmental sampling and/or assessment activities -Conduct or manage safety and job hazard analysis or audit activities -Support the Safety committees and brigades -Provide technical support on health and safety matters to leaders and employees -Recommend measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials -Maintains records, including but not limited to:Employee chemical and physical hazard exposure records; Equipment field calibration records; Employee health and safety training records conducted by the HSE Department -Provide and develop applicable health and safety training to employees Identify opportunities to reduce toxic material use that negatively impacts employee health, safety and the environment and reduces or eliminates regulatory oversight. Develop proposals, action plans, or programs to achieve this goal
Experiência y requisitos
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemical or other related
