Tasks
The Cloud Engineer contributes to the Continental Cloud Center of Excellence's endeavors, supporting different business areas and stakeholders in different locations accross the globe.

**The Cloud Engineer responsibilities are**:

- Coordination and alignment of Continental’s cloud strategy and business models with customers, business areas and the IT.
- Consolidation, consulting and support of cloud projects and use cases.
- Support in the organization, coordination and implementation of the Cloud Consortium, Continental’s expert steering committee for cloud activities.
- Support in the development of cloud reference implementations, e.g. for microservice architectures, cloud data processing and storage, scalable continuous testing and integration, etc.
- Support and consult in processes, methods and tools, standardization, legal aspects, cybersecurity and data security, compliance, governance etc. in the context of cloud usage
- Identification, implementation and monitoring of cloud usage optimization measures, e.g. for cost reduction, etc.

**Qualifications**:

- 3+ Years of experience with the set-up, configuration, administration, design and development of cloud environments in AWS, Azure, Alibaba or similar.
- 3+ Years of experience with microservices, containers, clustering, provisioning, monitoring, etc. in cloud environments.
- Relevant Certifications (eg. as AWS or Azure Certified Solution Architect, etc.) are beneficial
- Experience with Agile tools such as JIRA- Experience with a programming or scripting language
- Fluent English in speaking and writing
- Comfortable communicating with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders - Strategic and innovative thinking
