- The Manager Internal Audit (Data Analytics) reports to Internal Audit team management and has the responsibility of supporting the audit function, or as an individual contributor, in audit assignments including but not limited to: data analytics, audits and audit follow-ups, special projects such as continuous monitoring activities, under the guidance and supervision of more senior members of the audit department. This could include: planning, documentation, creation of data-driven audit programs, audit analytics scripts, work papers, reports and follow up communication.- Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collects data through collaboration with IT, data owners and process owners
- Transfers data into usable formats for analyses
- Builds tools for data analytics
- Analyzes data sets for usable information (such as fraud red-flags, anomalies, trends, opportunities and compliance with policies)
- Correlates data across functions, as applicable
- Creates reports and presentations for business users
- Conducts and supports internal audit projects using any of the above activities
- Prepares visualizations and dashboards to report results
- Designs, executes and delivers data analytics testing to support other audit projects
- Models the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and sets the standard for professional behavior
- Responsible for ensuring the timely completion of departmental administration including but not limited to quality control, timekeeping and compliance with department policies and standards.
- Performs sensitive assignments, as required
- Performs customary administrative tasks and responsibilities
- May perform other duties outlined in the Senior Internal Auditor job description
- Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business intelligence, data analysis or related field; MBA a plus
- 6-8+ years of relevant professional work experience. Internal audit experience or business process improvement experience a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English and Spanish
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Familiarity with programming for data analysis; ideally IDEA by Caseware, or VBA, DAX, M or Python
- Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI) and with audit analytics software and practices. SAP knowledge a plus
- Excellent numerical, logical, analytical, attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to assimilate and assess complex situations and communicate their implications effectively
- Knowledge and ability to express an understanding of business processes, risk management concepts, and internal controls
- Comfortable working in a lean structure, highly customer focused, with personal accountability
- Available to travel internationally (up to 15%)
