Overview

The Logistics Coordinator coordinates the day-to-day operation of all aspects of logistics in shipping, ensuring that they are timely and cost effective. Arrange warehousing and transportation of products to the distribution center or a customer. May investigate and respond to inquiries regarding distribution and shipping.

**Responsibilities**
- Assists in traffic management functions including routing pickup and delivery of freight; freight consolidation; freight quotations; and freight forwarders.
- Coordinates shipping and scheduling requirements, freight carriers, freight consolidators, and freight forwarders.
- Audit and approval of freight bills.
- Calculate freight quotations for special projects.
- Monitor performance with freight forwarders for Rain Bird Mexico (RBM) Export compliance
- ensure that RBM is following export rules and regulations.
- Identify process improvement within freight processes.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Liaises with local freight companies to review KPI’s and freight pricing
- Import/exports freight management
- Manage large project orders, in liaison with Sales, the Dealer, the Contractor and the 3PL warehouse in terms of allocating and dispatching stock

Experiência y requisitos

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Three to five years’ experience in Logistics environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to speak and write in English clearly
- Excellent organizational skills. Ability to multitask and manage priorities.
- Strong customer service orientation
- Experience in using Microsoft Office

**DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Degree in business or logistics.
- Experience with ERP systems
