**ABOUT THE ROLE**
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
**_ Business_**
- Help to build/improve relationships between the NPD team and various stakeholders in the plant to assist in efficiency improvements on NPD projects.
- Support the release of engineering designs to commercial manufacturing plants for manufacturing review.
- Participate in the equipment design from the Engineering Concept through manufacturing check sample.
- Update the engineering drawings and bill of materials.
- Support Engineering Check Samples (ECS), MCS (Manufacturing Check Samples) builds as representative of the New Product Development team, capturing any design improvement or opportunity.
**_ Technical_**
- General design and drafting responsibilities involve creating layouts, sketches and drawings through 3D modeling and design engineering tools (Windchill).
- Follow and adhere to products design Engineering specifications.
- Maintain integrity in all engineer data and keep the engineering bill of materials updated.
- Work with manufacturing engineering and product engineering to improve Design for Manufacturability on AHU NPD programs.
- Support the update and release of engineering documentation to align with the objectives and business goals.
- Design subsystems and components portions of functional systems, technically advanced prototypes, and specified products using computer-aided design and engineering systems.
- Work with offshore design/drafting team to update and maintain drawings.
- Update and maintain other engineering artifacts like workbooks and xPloder rules to support product design projects.
- Work with 3D geometry and engineering rules to directly support manufacturing using sheet metal flats and bills of material to final forms and assemblies.
**_ Management_**
- Keep New Product Development metrics within objectives.
- Plan and execute projects assigned to keep them as planned.
- Manage time efficiently to prioritize the right things and keep projects moving on schedule
**REQUIREMENTS**
As a minimum you must have
- BA/BS degree in Engineering: IME, IMA, IA, IM with 1-2 years of relevant experience
- Must be fluent in Spanish and English (written and oral).
- Knowledge in design tools as Creo (Sheet metal, 3D modeling, assemblies, Drawing, Wiring routing, Piping), Windchill (BOM management).
- Technical knowledge in design concept, Sheet metal process fabrication, Assembly process.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while managing multiple priorities.
Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:
- Knowledge of tolerance analysis (GD&T)
- Hands-on experience working in an Engineering design environment.
- Demonstrate an ability to deliver successful designs under tight timing constraints.
- HVAC, Programing, Electrical, SAP experience a plus.
- MES experience
