The Buyer position will provide support and customer service for a large Global company for production services and goods. This position will support multiple locations. The primary focus of this position will be around the timely placement of purchase orders and delivery of materials to meet customer order requirements and maintain stock inventory levels within approved guidelines. The Buyer will report to the Purchasing manager. - Process POs and solicit quotes for spot buys. - Manage supplier communication and open order for activities assigned. - Execute on purchasing decisions made by purchasing, Category and Strategic sourcing Managers. - Negotiate, create and administer pricing updates including, but not limited to, the negotiation of goods and services for different no-productive commodities. - Analyze and evaluate multiple vendors to determine the best deals for the company, based on price, quality, speed of delivery and other factors. - Act as the liaison between internal customer and our supplier community. - Respond promptly to customer needs, soliciting feedback to improve service levels and continually meeting or exceeding commitments.
