**Descripción y Requisitos**

**Purpose of the Job**:

- The Assistant Controller prepares financial statements and other financial related analysis at the plant level to provide the management team with the information necessary to gauge performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Provides high-level support to the Corporate Controller as they manage a company’s accounting, financial and cost accounting activities. This position will communicate with the operations team, as well as others within Finance/Accounting, to gain an understanding of processes and ensure proper reporting of operational transactions in accordance with GAAP and management’s needs. This role will also be responsible for preparation of ad hoc reporting and data analysis as needed.**Key Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions)**:

- Preparation of Plant Level Financial Reporting- Responsible for updating financial statements on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis timely and accurate
- Identification and analysis of significant variances versus prior year, budget, and forecast.
- Assist in annual budgeting, forecasting process including analysis, reporting and input to related system.
- Responsibility is closing the company's books in an accurate, timely and efficient way.
- Fixed Assets/ Controls
- Drive productivity projects
- Costing Analysis and Reporting- Understand costing structure and methodology
- Analyzes costing data to understand variances on P&L
- Develops costing and provides related insights on New Product Development and other cost improvement projects
- Cost accounting aims to report, analyze, and lead to the improvements of internal cost controls and efficiency.
- Driving inventory accuracy through strong inventory controls
- Other- Training and motivation of the financial and accounting teams under his/her responsibility
- Communicate and present reports effectively in English

**Experience & Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA or CMA preferred
- Auditor experience highly desired/ Internal Controls
- Strong Cost Accounting skills
- Minimum +5 years related experience
- Manufacturing experience strongly desired

- Strong understanding of financial and cost accounting concepts, practices and procedures in a manufacturing environment
- Must work well independently and be a team player with the ability to work in matrix environment
