R&D IT is AZ’s global IT capability function supporting key science related business areas operating out of sites across the US, UK, Sweden, India & Mexico.
We have a varied range of data engineering projects which use the latest cloud and architectural best practices to deliver a broad range of data solutions for the business. For example, monitoring Patient Safety aspects of the COVID-19 Vaccine and providing Operational and Financial business intelligence on the latest drugs in the development pipeline.
The main responsibilities of the role are to:
- Support Integration Platforms, resolved platform and integration issues.
- Monitor production system to ensure it is operating in a manner consistent with Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)
- Take lead during remediation of priority incidents and update stakeholders and partners as appropriate in alignment in AstraZeneca priority communication process.
- Proactive in identifying areas for process improvement or finding opportunities for Automation.
- Liaise with multiple stake holders including users, infrastructure/middleware teams, 3rd party software vendors for resolving issues and potential process improvements
**Essential Experience**: (Must have skills)
Proficient in English
IT support
Intermediate Knowledge: Java,.NET or other programming language
Data Base, Oracle or SQL Server or any RDBMS
ITIL knowledge
MS Office Excel
Good service attitude
**Optional Experience: (Nice to have skills)**
Experience on Global Support
SNOW or other ticketing tool knowledge (Remedy, HPSM)
Reporting skills
Experience with technologies such as: JDBC, Data, REST, SOAP, Java, APIs, VMs, Perl, JSON, XML, XSD, RAML, OAS.
**Educational Qualifications**
- Engineering Degree / Masters in Computer Science
**OVERALL YEARS OF EXPERIENCE**: 3 to 5 Years in IT

Clear and concise communicator, with very good written and verbal communication skills
