Responsible for implementing and maintaining the assigned manufacturing operation in optimal performance, through the design of strategic plans focused on equipment utilization, process improvements, implementation of work systems, validation studies, and defect reduction. 1. Technical leader responsible for manufacturing on assigned new product introduction projects or line transfers which may be specialties such as molding, extrusion, automation, metalworking, or operational excellence, as examples. 2. Identifies, justifies and executes process improvement and cost reduction initiatives by utilizing engineering tools e.g. Minitab, MSProject, Lean, Six Sigma etc., providing timely updates at the plant level and some corporate forums. 3. Justifies capital investment projects for introduction to manufacturing processes ensuring return on investment and alignment with corporate vision. 4. Prepares validation plans and executes validations following established validation procedures and quality policies. 5. Maintains manufacturing procedures and process control systems (SAP) updated according to current practices. 6. Executes and maintains line balancing studies by adjusting line flows and layouts based on the studies performed. 7. Prepares graphics, drawings, writings, forms, technical reports, or any other comprehensive document required according to the nature of their activities typically in English. 8. Mentors lower level engineers in disciplines such as SAP, routing, cost centers, material masters etc. as well as quality system procedures and policies or improvement tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent. 9. Lead cross-functional teams on concurrent 1-2 improvement projects. 10. Performs any other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Experiência y requisitos
- Engineering Degree or equivalent experience (Preferable). - Advanced English abilities (Preferable). - 5 years or more in the position or similar, preferable. - Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, Minitab, and ERP, preferable. - Lean production system, design software management, preferable. - Knowledge of ISO 13485, preferable.
