We are looking for a Production Planner for our manufacturing operation in Tijuana.
- Perform coverage analysis for raw material, components, and assemblies.
- Analyze and execute reports on shortages/material availability.
- Creation/follow-up of work order according to requirements.
- Follow up, schedule, and report expedites
- Generate, and follow up on the execution of the production plan
- Creates and executes expediting strategies.
- Backlog/order management.
- Produce daily production reports
- Track, communicate, improve planning operation metrics, investigate improvement opportunities
- Responsible for the weekly production planning and follow-up of production control and material flow.
- Review/ report/ manage adherence status to the plan
- Manage distribution orders and material transactions between plants
- Manage high-value components
- Creation of RTV for non-conforming client material
- Follow up on the company standards and procedures framed quality systems/document procedures
- Trains and develops Planning team members
- Analysis of capacity and productivity of production plans.
A bachelor’s degree in Operations Management; Supply Chain Management, a related field or equivalent experience.
At least 3 years of experience in a similar position.
Strong communication and negotiation skills in English and Spanish. (80%)
- Experience working with ERP Systems. (IFS is a plus)
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel skills. (Certification is a plus.)
- A team player with great interpersonal relations
- Analytical problem-solving, attention to detail, initiative, and follow-through.
- APICS / ASCM certification is a plus, i.e., C.P.M., CPIM, CPSM, CSCP.
- Background in process improvements, production or demand planning is a plus
