Reliability Engineer

**Reliability Engineer**

The role of the Reliability Engineer consists of preparing the planning, execution and validation tasks of Corrective, Preventive, Predictive Maintenance and Root cause analyze (TPM) of the equipment assigned in the plant to guarantee the optimal use of resources, through work in team, continuous improvement and development of people within the framework.

**In order to be successful, the Reliability Engineer will be expected to**:

- Lead with Influence.
- Effectively manage people as maintenance technician & contractors.
- Work collaboratively and cross functionally and be able to effectively communicate with Howmet Aerospace employees at all levels in our Org
- Effectively manage budget.
- Understand and achieve operational objectives that are communicated verbally, in writing or through written diagrams.

**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Coordinate the repairs and prevention requirements of all manufacturing equipment in charge.
- Ensure the maintenance activities that are under their responsibility are always carried out under the focus of the safety vision, complying with each and every one of the guidelines established by the company.
- Identify and contribute to developing standards for the repair, start-up, PM, etc., for operation of equipment.
- Payroll for people in charge
- Technical support for troubleshooting
- Project management for equipment in charge
- KPI management and records.
- Keep updated the backup documentation of PLCs, HMIs, Drives, etc.
- Carry out analysis and Major Failure Reports of mechanical, functional problems, controls. and carry out the corrections and systematic operating actions necessary to maintain Production, Quality and Safety at maximum levels.
- Carry out the statistical analysis and modeling of the failures in the productive equipment to determine the necessary changes and updates within the preventive maintenance master plan.
- Performs other maintenance duties as assigned.

**Qualifications and Requirement.**
- Engineering preferably specialized in mechatronics, electronics, mechanical electrical.
- 5 or more years of directly related experience in:

- Knowledge of Preventive, Predictive, Corrective Maintenance processes and Internal Maintenance Systems (computer-assisted maintenance).
- Knowledge of consumables management and spare parts inventory management.
- High knowledge of programming PLC'S, HMIs, Drives and Robots.
- People management as maintenance technician & contractors.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities.
