**Production Supervisor**:
**PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES**:
Responsible for directly managing and developing departmental Team Leads as well as directly or indirectly leading a shift of greater than 20 personnel engaged in the manufacturing of Nitinol Products.
Planning and coordination of production activites to obtain optimum utilization of human resources, direct materials, and equipment.
Advises Management of new developments that may affect profit, schedule, costs, customer relations and/or inter-departmental relations.
Schedules all labor within their assigned department which includes overtime, vacations, leave of absences, and training to ensure the timely completion.
Weekly approvals of time records for department.
Responsible for timely performance feedback and annual reviews.
Maintains a working knowledge of new technologies which may improve operations and develops recommendations accordingly.
Applies LEAN Principals/Manufacturing Excellence/4CP principals to drive process impovements in the department.
Escalates machining issues to material control/master scheduler that may impact production schedules.
Develops capital equipment justifications for machines, machine tools, and process technology as needed to improve quality, cost and/or cycle times.
Other duties may be assigned.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
High school diploma or equivelantuniversity degree
4-6years experience in a manufacturing environment preferrably servicing the Medical Device Industry with a minimum of 2 years supervising a team.
Working knowledge in progressive management technologies such as Lean Manufacturing, JIT, MRP, and ERP.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel,)
Ensure both self and team adheres to business/JM EHS standards at all times, and that production does not override EHS requirements.
Good communication skills required to exchange information with shift operators, operational management and peers in associated processes. Strong communication skills at all levels and across all disciplines including strong customer focus and good customer relations
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematics or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
