Your role at Clorox:
The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for driving accurate and timely accounting processes, ensuring compliance with internal controls, and delivering actionable financial insights. This individual will partner with cross-functional teams to support daily business operations, financial reporting, and analysis. While the focus is on accounting and controls, the role provides exposure to cost accounting, making it an excellent opportunity for professional growth in a dynamic business environment.

In this role, you will:

- Lead, train and mentor junior Product Cost Analysts, ensuring accuracy, consistency and development of skills within the team post completion of product costing training.
- Prepare, execute and analyze product costing runs and cost estimates prior to release in the S/4HANA ERP system.
- Develop system knowledge to effectively troubleshoot costing errors.
- Actively participate in the creation of the yearly standard costs.
- Prepare and post journal entries in compliance with US GAAP and company policies.
- Execute monthly and quarterly close activities, including account reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Conduct P&L analysis to identify key trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Work effectively with cross functional teams to communicate and resolve accounting/costing issues and improve operational efficiency.
- Maintain strong internal controls and support audit requirements related to product costing activities and sourcing & analysis.
- Prepare forecasts and deliver insights to support decision-making.
- Gain exposure to product costing, including standard cost runs and ERP processes in S/4HANA.
- Enhance reporting and analytics capabilities using tools such as PowerQuery, PowerBI, and Power Automate.
- Identify and influence system improvements to drive efficiency and effectiveness
- Develop insights and recommendations to support business decisions.

What we look for:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting and/or finance, preferably in consumer-packaged goods or manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of financial statements, journal entries, monthly close, and reconciliations.
- Experience with US GAAP preferred.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with ERP systems (S/4HANA preferred).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Curious, innovative mindset with high attention to detail.
- Business work experience through internships, part-time or full-time work
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills in English.
