Descripción y detalle de las actividades- Lead the evaluation and optimization of production and manufacturing processes to improve product quality, reduce costs, and increase throughput.
- Develop, implement, and monitor SPC (Statistical Process Control) programs to ensure system stability and product consistency.
- Identify process inefficiencies and implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools to eliminate waste and variation.
- Oversee the development of new production processes for Injection Molding processes.
- Manage end-to-end process engineering projects including design, resource allocation, timelines, and performance monitoring.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support high-visibility development efforts tied to strategic initiatives and revenue growth.
- Design and implement custom fixtures, tooling, and specialty-use equipment.
- Ensure manufacturing and engineering molding processes comply with ISO, and OSHA standards.
- Partner with QA to support regulatory inspections, documentation, and the CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) program.
- Lead efforts to achieve and maintain ISO/AITF certification across the facility.
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of production leads, and technicians.
- Participate in Kaizen events, root cause analyses, and team-building workshops focused on reducing costs, improving safety, and enhancing operational excellence.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement across the production and engineering teams.
- Oversee day-to-day production support and troubleshooting, ensuring quick resolution of technical issues to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with quality and supply chain teams to transition research-driven developments into scalable, compliant, and efficient production processes.
- Provide strategic input and technical guidance on new product introductions and process scalability.Experiência y requisitos- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing and molding process engineering
- Strong background in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, SPC, and C/I methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with regulated environments (ISO 13485, IATF 16949).
- Experience with design software.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, CAPA systems, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Proven leadership ability in driving process improvement and leading high-performing cross-functional teams.
