Ppi Packaging Engineer

**The Job of the Local PPI Packaging Specialist requires a person who is able to work independently, executing tasks according to general alignments with the line manager and R&D strategy.**:
**Furthermore, the role requires a high learning agility, on the functional site the jobholder needs to be very broad, understanding the packaging and their interfaces.**:
**The jobholder needs to have good relationship skills because he/she is permanently in contact with local and regional teams. At the same time, this role needs to assure short-term deliveries and long-term results, in a high action-oriented skill basis. The challenge here is not to forget or procrastinate things, but plan and adjust the day accordingly.**:
**The jobholder has the full responsibility and ownership containing translation, implementation and maintenance of the packaging materials. Support packaging team in the site level is required.**:
**The interfaces of the role are widespread, being in constant exchange with the R&D (regional, local, Q&FS), the activity teams (COGS initiatives with Commercial), and central engineering and supply. This exchange goes in both ways and the jobholder is reflecting and influencing back to the departments. Therefore, communication skills and the ability to build and maintain a proper network are key.**:
**Trouble shooting will be managed firstly by supply following trouble-shooting guides developed by site. If these provide no resolution, then Local Packaging Specialist will take over the trouble shooting process escalating to the Regional R&D team when appropriate.**:
**Due to the daily changing demands of the role the jobholder needs a lot of self-confidence, dealing with ambiguity and standing alone, being the translator (sometimes mediator) between the requirements/demands of the site and the regional teams.**:
**Despite having a freedom in the daily business, the need to adhere to the standards (Q&FS), regional specifications and proper documentation is obligatory.**:
**An understanding for quality and how it goes, hand in hand with production is essential.**:
**The role is the ambassador for R&D packaging on site; this is the person that is the packaging key point of contact.**:
**The pre-made packaging area (pouch maker area) remain as local accountability and responsibility for change management, SRC, specifications and trouble-shooting guidelines.**:
**What are we looking for?**:

- ** Local technical packaging leadership in continuous improvement, efficiency, Do It Best Initiatives and deployment of regional activities on Site in all technologies;**:

- ** Local Packaging adaptation to assure fulfilment of the established specifications;**:

- ** Support/lead plant trials for all packaging initiatives, and provide key technical input into the implementation and assurance of any corporate Q&FS standards (current or new);**:

- ** Close cooperation and exchange with R&D local and regional (Q&FS, PDI, RFM, Packaging), the local site QFS team and supply team (Engineering, Maintenance, Operations) to ensure that the knowledge is transferred, and the systems, standards (internal & external), procedures and controls are established. Be the R&D contact for packaging and quality discussions, building strong relationship for overall business benefit.**:
**What will be your key responsibilities?**:

- ** Translate and implement pack quality management, solutions and continuous improvement;**:

- ** Responsible and accountable for implementation in Packaging Innovation process, developing sketches, following and approve new artworks for products launch and support in packaging material;**:

- ** Accountable for the commissioning of process, pack and product in the local assets (already available/line extension).**:

- ** Partnership with Regional R&D (PDI, RFM, Q&FS and TDI teams) at site level related to regional initiatives, such as commissioning, plant trials, validations, startups, sampling, artwork development, new raw materials, codes creation, and other activities according to the RACI.**:

- ** Strong support with key stakeholders (RDT/SUPPLY/ENG/Q&FS) in the handover 1 process on site when there is: new process, product and pack, new Q&FS standard, supplier change or new suppliers and change management process, assuring business continuity at site level.**:

- ** Lead the Handover 2 process with site. Provide training related to the activity and ensure all documentation is completed for handover.**:

- ** Lead local initiatives and the key point of contact for Regional COGS and Efficiency initiatives, aligned with COGS program and QES strategies for the region.**:
