**The position**:
The Manager, People Operations role is responsible for managing our People Operations at Remote. This role’s focus will be to help with the implementation and execution of strategies that help support and enable a high performance culture in a global, fully remote environment. This area of our People Enablement Team helps to drive efficient and scalable processes and policies, leads our HR systems and helps to build and scale our people analytics while fostering a culture of innovation. This role will be crucial in aligning and leveling up our Remoters’ experience through People processes, policies and analytics with Remote’s values, goals, and mission in mind.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Lead, develop and motivate a team that consists of People Operations Associates and Specialists who are focused on ensuring operational excellence and a seamless employee experience
- Partner cross-functionally with different stakeholders on objectives, this includes People Programs, Learning and Development, People Partners and Talent Acquisition
- Contribute and support initiatives that foster employee development and organizational growth that include talent development, performance management, DEIB, skills enablement and learning programs
- Develop and implement strategies that help create efficiencies by effectively leveraging our tech stack, driving process optimization and automation, appropriately prioritizing workload distribution across the team and building data reporting and analytics in a scalable, efficient way for the organization
- Determine team goals with key measurable indicators that are aligned to strategic objectives while also driving goal tracking and attainment by the team with clear indicators of success
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute on operational best practices that support increasing team productivity while also support a seamless, valuable employee experience
- Manage our HR information system (HRIS), overseeing data integrity and system functionality while driving automation and identifying areas for efficiency
- Act as an escalation point for the team, providing guidance on HR policies, processes and procedures.
- Act as an advocate for remote working, Remote’s values and DEI, ensuring these are experienced throughout the employee experience.
- Assess and optimize existing People processes, policies, and programs to ensure sustainability and scalability as we grow. Recommend and implement process improvements to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
**Requirements**:
- 5+ years experience within People Operations roles in fast paced environments, with at least 1 year of experience managing a team.
- In-depth understanding of People Operations processes, policies, technology tools and data analysis along with general knowledge and understanding of holistic HR and talent practices
- Strong collaboration skills working cross functionally with various different functional departments to improve processes and gain efficiencies
- Ability to align People processes and policies with company values, goals, and mission. Strong strategic thinking skills to drive sustainable and scalable solutions.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage and inspire others.
- Demonstrated track record of fostering innovation and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in an organization. Proven ability to introduce and implement creative solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions. Proven ability to handle complex employee relations issues with discretion and sensitivity.
- Proven organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to drive initiatives forward with clear direction and purpose
- Writes and speaks fluent English.
- It's not required to have experience working remotely, but considered a plus
