As Head of People Operations, you will report to the CXO and be in charge of advancing and overseeing all aspects of human resources (HR), its strategies, practices, and operations (Recruitment, HR, Employee Experience, Training, and Development) in order to acquire, develop and retain human capital, while also evolving our processes to ensure scalability.
**Roles and Responsibilities**
**Employee Experience**:
- Work with the CXO to ensure an exceptional employee experience
- Strategically design employee-facing communication practices and content
- Collect data & feedback to make measurable, data-informed improvements
- Implement and monitor changes and continuously improve
- Map and continuously improve the employee lifecycle, making data-informed improvements and implementing and monitoring changes.
- Ensure employees have easy access to up-to-date internal information and processes relevant to POPS
- Ensure all POPs functions are clearly defined, documented, and easily accessible
**Scalability & TA**:
- Work with Finance and Delivery to ensure we are well aligned on hiring plans and that we don't overhire and have a negative impact on margins
- Develop & implement strategies to help the org attract, acquire, develop and retain talent, including gathering and reporting on metrics (retention, attrition, eNPS)
**Department Management**:
- Oversee the improvement, development, and implementation of operational processes for the teams within People Ops
**Leadership**:
- Provide operational leadership and hands-on contributions in core human resource-related functions, such as compensation, benefits, employee relations, documentation, and HR-related legal/regulatory topics in coordination with external and internal counsel.
- Work with internal stakeholders to drive the development of the People Ops org, aligned with company-wide goals, informed by quantitative and qualitative insights.
**Learning & Development**:
- Ensure employee career development and training efforts (job skills, soft skills, and manager training) are aligned with company goals and implemented in measurable ways
**Employee Retention & Attrition**:
- Maintain visibility and understanding of threats to employee retention and opportunities to delight
- Perform retention analysis and retrospectives to understand the root causes of attrition and employee dissatisfaction
- Put measures in place to avoid recurrence in partnership with stakeholders
- Monitor employee engagement for early signs of dissatisfaction and potential attrition in order to proactively identify opportunities to rectify and delight
**Data Collection & Monitoring**:
- Implement data collection, monitoring, & reporting mechanisms to understand trends in requests, communication, and root causes of issues.
- Utilize data collected to distribute to internal partners and ideate strategies to enhance employee experience, resolve pain points, and inform product and organizational advancement.
- Set and drive performance against business metrics to monitor and identify areas for improvement, including staffing, scheduling, communication channels, processes, and tooling/systems.
**Additional Responsibilities**:
- Drive planning, goal setting, and performance tracking (KPIs, OKRs, and dashboards) for People Ops and all its sub-teams
- Support change management in all departments across the company
- Lead strategic programs related to people analytics, employee engagement, career development, employee support, performance, ongoing learning/skill development, and recruiting.
- Collaborate with colleagues on culture-related initiatives, diversity-related initiatives, and employee communication initiatives.
- Compile, own, manage and communicate key People Operations-related metrics
- Work with our legal/compliance and finance teams to oversee legal and regulatory topics that relate to People Operations.
- Implement and oversee support programs for current and prospective employees.
- Create and implement a reward system and recognition culture that helps employees feel appreciated for their efforts.
