Lead Business Analyst

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented **Lead Business Analyst** to optimize and advance our customer's Pricing Data Platform.

This role requires expertise in business and data analysis along with the ability to navigate complex insurance pricing concepts or demonstrate a proven capacity to quickly learn in this area.

**Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with actuaries, data scientists, product managers, and technical teams to define and document business requirements for pricing models and data processes in insurance
- Analyze data sources and mappings and document business rules, calculation logic, and data definitions supporting accurate pricing decisions
- Translate actuarial and predictive modeling methodologies into actionable data and business requirements
- Offer input for the development, validation, and testing of actuarial pricing systems, predictive models, and rating frameworks
- Maintain critical documentation such as business glossaries, data dictionaries, and data lineage records for key calculations (e.g., loss ratios, premiums, and conversion rates)
- Perform gap analyses to ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solutions, suggesting improvements for data processes when necessary
- Communicate with technical and business teams to support the delivery of automated insights and reporting
- Manage project milestones, resolve data-related challenges, and contribute to successful UAT and post-implementation efforts

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in roles like Business Analyst or Data Analyst, specifically in financial services or insurance sectors
- Competency in defining, articulating, and documenting business and data requirements for solutions based on complex datasets
- Familiarity with large-scale data structures and definitions, supported by practical experience in data-intensive settings
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills complemented by strong documentation capabilities
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with technical and business stakeholders
- Advanced Excel proficiency; familiarity with SQL, Python, or BI tools is advantageous
- Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ level

**Nice to have**
- Experience in insurance-related fields like pricing, underwriting, actuarial work, or product management
- Knowledge of insurance pricing metrics and concepts such as loss ratio, premium, frequency, and severity
- Background in projects involving predictive modeling or actuarial processes
- Understanding of LATAM insurance markets or work across multiple regions
- Expertise in data governance practices such as business glossaries and data lineage work
