Job Description
Configuration Analyst Job Description
In this position, you will be responsible for the following:
- New Data Creation
o Guide and support Product Development Teams on CM activities
o Attend Team Material meetings and report on status of all BOMs, parts, and documents
o Coordinate initial release of new part/BOM/doc objects and review for completeness
o Facilitate part/BOM/doc lifecycle progression and release by using reports to show status of objects preventing promotion in WC
- New Data Extension
o Work with Engineer to release BOMs / Parts to manufacturing for planning, prototyping, production, and sales.
o Manage data extension priorities per program build schedules
o Notify customer upon completion of data extension
- Initiate Part/BOM Extension requests through Proto. Initiate material/ BOM creation within SAP by populating data on the SAP dashboard
o Initiate Part/BOM Promotion requests. Initiate material validation from prototype to production status within SAP on engineering behalf.
- Intervene with businesses to resolve data issues
- Change Review, Impact Analysis, and Approvals
o Review submitted ECN’s for completeness.
o Initiate ECN Impact Analysis.
o Manage ECN approvals.
o Manage creation of new Part/BOM/Documents
o Systematically initiate ECM’s ECN’s through Windchill
o Audit BOMs extended to the plant via ECN to ensure accuracy
- Leadership Responsibilities
o Lead small team, and set performance goals and project deadlines that align with the company’s larger plan
o Delegate work to employees, track progress, and provide constructive feedback throughout the progress
o Address issues with employees, and other concerns in a timely manner
o Address problems with quality of work
o Act as a link between subordinate and upper management
o Conduct performance reviews
o Motivate team members
Assist management in creating strategies to enhance productivity, and process improvements
