**Job Purpose**:
Ensure that all products and processes meet customer specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Lead the quality department to implement, monitor, and improve quality management systems, reduce non-conformities, and foster a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) according to ISO 9001.
- Oversee all quality control and quality assurance activities across manufacturing processes: cutting, CNC bending, MIG/TIG welding, and painting.
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements, internal specifications, and regulatory standards.
- Manage incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities to ensure product conformity.
- Analyze quality data and trends to identify root causes of defects and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Lead internal and external audits, including those from customers and certification bodies.
- Develop and monitor KPIs related to quality performance (scrap, rework, customer complaints, etc.).
- Drive initiatives for continuous improvement and cost reduction related to quality.
- Supervise and develop the quality team (inspectors, engineers, auditors).
- Coordinate the response to customer quality issues and ensure timely and effective resolution.
- Manage calibration programs, quality documentation, and control plans.
- Work collaboratively with engineering, production, and supply chain to ensure product quality from raw material to finished goods.
**Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)**:
- Customer complaint rate and response time
- Scrap and rework rates
- Audit results (internal and external)
- Corrective action implementation and closure time
- First-pass yield (FPY) and process capability (Cp/Cpk)
Experiência y requisitos
**Job Requirements**:
- ** Education**: Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related engineering field.
- ** Experience**: Minimum of 2 to 8 years in a quality leadership role within the maquiladora or metal-mechanical industry.
- ** Technical Knowledge**:
- Quality management systems (ISO 9001)
- Quality tools: FMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, APQP, SPC, MSA, 8D, 5 Whys
- Interpretation of mechanical drawings and GD&T
- Auditing procedures and customer complaint handling
- Familiarity with metal part manufacturing processes
- ** Skills**:
