**Job Description**:
Genesys is looking for a highly driven Sr. Business Systems Analyst to join our Chief Data and Analytics Officer team as a member of our customer facing team. This is a unique position which requires deep business and technical expertise coupled with the ability to solve problems creatively and effectively. As a Sr. Business Systems Analyst, you will go deep into one or more areas of our business and partner with those stakeholders to assess business outcome requirements, analyze their data insights needs and challenges, identify process improvement and automation opportunities, propose business and system architectures, initiate proofs of concept efforts for specific outcomes and capabilities, develop a backlog of epics and stories, and work closely with the development teams to deliver analytical product(s).
The role of a Sr. Business Systems Analyst will have responsibility for providing business, functional, and technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and implementing process, data, and functional solutions through data insights that support business outcomes that enable our partners to achieve their strategic objectives and grow the business.
What you'll get to do:
The primary responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to):
- Work in an agile environment, providing leadership to a team of technologists, constantly delivering and iterating on analytical solutions.
- Going beyond relationship management, you’ll embed yourself into a customer facing business area, be a trusted partner, help them set analytical priorities and provide progress updates on our team commitments to those business stakeholders and our leadership
- Use your business sense and process knowledge to evaluate things holistically and think through the objectives, impacts, best practices, tradeoffs, and what will be most impactful and scalable to determine the best analytical solution to support the business.
- Use your excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse group of people, to tease out and document business requirements and outcomes
Your experience should include:
- 5+ years of experience in, analytics, business intelligence, data architecture, including data modeling (logical & physical), data visualization, data warehousing, and analytical enablement
- 5+ years of business experience, with demonstrated project management, product management or managerial skills
- 5+ years of experience reviewing and writing technical & business requirements in relation to insights, effective data visualization, data management, metrics/KPIs or software development projects
- 5+ years of experience in marketing, finance, operational, or management reporting as a business systems analyst
- Strong knowledge of project & program management techniques and tools as well as product owner experience (Agile/Scrum Master/Product Owner certification preferred, experience with Jira preferred).
- Strong empathy for customers and the ability to think and design from the customers perspective with a strong ability to find the 80/20 solution when necessary
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desirable Qualifications Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of business, computer science or similar area or equivalent work experience
- Salesforce or other CRM experience
- PMP or equivalent
