The GL Analyst Senior holds a pivotal position, providing vital financial support within the organization. Their responsibilities are critical in safeguarding PPG’s assets and financial records. By meticulously monitoring trial balance data and conducting thorough account analysis, they ensure that accounting records are precisely posted and adhere to timeliness standards. Moreover, the Senior GL Analyst actively contributes to the strategic direction of G/L accounting processes, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial information. Their expertise extends to both internal and external reporting, aligning with corporate accounting policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles US (GAAP).

**responsibilities**:

- Communication with internal clients and departments (payables, treasury, general ledger, fixed assets) and other operating areas in the business.
- Address minimum general ledger issues/concerns related to existing/new Finance with supervisor´s guidance.
- Answer general accounting questions related to transactions being posted.
- Account reconciliation procedures.
- Participate in process improvement meeting projects and support other management directives as prescribed.
- Assist in business process improvement and transitions.
- Journal entries preparation, finance data collection.
- Demonstrate professionalism in the workplace.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree (Accounting, Finance, Business, or related)
- Previous experience in 2-3 years, preferably in a multinational company.
- PPG Business general knowledge.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle)
- Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements.
- Expertise in reconciling GL accounts, identifying discrepancies, and resolving issues.
- Excel Skills
- English (level: intermediate)
