Mexico Head of Custody Operations

The Custody Operations Head in Mexico is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a department responsible for multiple functions pertaining to Custody services. The overall objective of this role is to provide leadership of a large and complex area within Securities Services Operations and ensure the seamless delivery of the functions to international and local clients as well as respond to the various internal and regulatory demands. This will be achieved through appropriate planning and execution of operational strategies to meet both client and regulatory requirements. - Act as a senior point of escalation for issues. - Build a strong leadership team to enable the fostering of a diverse, inclusive and engaging work environment. - Ensure appropriate plans are in place to enable sound delivery of the activities while also focusing on building scale and control within the processes. - Provide advice to address complex process issues, leveraging multiple teams and departments across the Operations & Technology organization in order to develop innovative solutions, streamline processes and lead change-the-bank projects. - Closely follow trends in the industry, identify cost savings opportunities and build effective relationships with both clients and key stakeholders - Increase productivity, efficiencies using metrics to identify and validate potential solutions. - Deliver a robust control environment, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. Leverage best practice to keep abreast of Citi's operational processes - Act as an mentor and coach to new or junior level staff on procedures and work processes across multiple departments Additional Job Description Extensive Managerial experience required. Exceptional record of accomplishment in people leadership with proven ability to build successful teams with a succession plan Demonstrated success coordinating with senior leadership and in managing others as well as experience in leading and delivering change Experience in management of similar Custody activities preferred In-depth understanding of opportunities that exist within Financial Services and significant experience in Corporate Banking Proven ability to manage various concurrent activities/projects in a high-risk environment Excellent communication skills, capable of clear and concise written/verbal communication 10+ years of relevant industry experience **Education**: Bachelor’s degree/University degree Master’s degree (preferred) **Qualifications**: - 10+ years of relevant experience - Executive presence with strong spoken and written English skills.
