Headquartered in Malvern, PA, CPI is supported by: >2,500 global associates, 7 manufacturing sites, 12 corporate offices and 43 service branches. **WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING** This position will provide dedicated Mechanical Engineering Production support for the Queretaro site. The role requires a thoughtful and detailed approach to solving issues stemming from production with a focus on root cause analysis and corrective action proposal. In addition, the engineer will participate in design projects as required to resolve chronic production issues. The main responsibilities for this role are: - Support the resolution of production issues related to mechanical construction. - Manage projects and create/track project plans for any necessary design changes. This required proactive communication with the associated Vertical channel. - Member of product Quality Management Teams. These Teams meet weekly and provide direct communications between Production and Engineering. - Development of detailed product design knowledge. This ongoing responsibility is required to provide timely production support and identify potential cost reduction opportunities. - Proactive production yield analysis and design improvement implementation. - Perform other duties/projects as assigned **WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR** **Qualifications and Requirements** - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent combination of education, training and experience - English Level: Advanced - Experience Desirable +10 years of design or manufacturing experience and 3D modeling expertise-using Solidworks (preferred) and/or ProEngineer. - Desirable knowledge: Excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills with a proven desire and ability to get to root cause. Proficiency with Solidworks and/or ProEngineer solid modeling. Familiarity with plastic part design and injection molding processes; and basic sheet metal design. Experience with basic statistical analysis and worst case tolerance analysis. Capability of performing basic stress and force analysis. Familiarity with MS Project and developing project plans is a plus.
