DESCRIPTION

**Position Overview**

The Cuajimalpa Library Coordinator is responsible for managing library operations, supporting all school programs (including IB, IGCSE, and others, and fostering a culture of reading and inquiry within the school community.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Library Management
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for library operations.
- Maintain and update the library catalog using the school's designated system.
- Conduct annual inventories and manage the repair or replacement of materials.
- Oversee the acquisition of new materials in consultation with faculty.

Curriculum Support
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into the curriculum.
- Provide instruction on research skills and information literacy.
- Support students in developing critical thinking and research skills.
- Assist with student Project Based Learning initiatives across the campus.

Staff Development
- Recruit, train, and supervise library staff and volunteers.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide professional development opportunities.
- Communication & Community Engagement
- Develop and disseminate promotional materials to raise awareness of library services.
- Organize events such as book fairs and reading programs to engage the school community.

Resource Management
- Curate and develop the library's collection to support all academic programs offered by the school.
- Manage budgets for library resources and services.
- Implement strategies to maximize access to both print and digital resources.

**REQUIREMENTS**:
**Qualifications**:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Information Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a library setting, preferably within an educational institution. Experience in an IB school is highly desirable.
- Language Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in English is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in library management software and Google Workspace. Familiarity with digital literacy tools and resources is an asset.
