Job Description**
What’s the role?**

The Fulfillment team is helping Etsy sellers meet customers’ expectations for all things shipping. As we continue to expand Etsy in new parts of the world and provide the tools and services for our sellers to ship items across the globe, fulfillment has become a foundational part of our experience, one that cultivates customer loyalty by delivering on the promise of receiving that special item

This role will work alongside product and engineering leaders to lead the strategy and operations of this foundational product initiative, by both iterating on existing and building new buyer and seller experiences.

We are particularly excited that this person will be based in Mexico. With its vibrant and booming technology scene, we believe that Mexico will be an ideal location for Etsy to put down new roots and expand our global workforce and we’re looking for leaders to help build and promote our Etsy culture

This is a full-time position reporting to the Director of Product Design. This role requires your presence in Etsy’s Mexico City office in a flex capacity. Learn more about our Flex and Office-based work modes as well as vaccination policy here.
**What’s product design management like at Etsy?**

Typically, product design managers at Etsy partner with product management and engineering to lead teams passionate about customer outcomes, while mentoring and growing the product designers on that team.
**Day to day, it looks like**:

- Lead product designers by mentoring and creating career growth opportunities for those on your team
- Collaborate with cross-functional leads to craft the vision, strategy, and operations of your initiatives
- Ensure we are building the right products for our customers, and help teams take the best near-term steps toward their long-term vision
- Advocate for our customer, and guide teams to deliver well-executed and on-brand experiences by using our design system
- Lead regular design reviews, critiques, and brainstorming sessions for your teams
- Facilitate continuous learning and improvement for the product design team and its members
- Recruit and hire outstanding design talent and facilitate onboarding of new designers
- Partner with our Design Systems team to make plans to evolve the components and styles for our internal tooling needs
- Work alongside the broader Design Leadership team to craft our teams’ culture, processes, and tools

- Leading design strategy for sophisticated initiatives and growing designers
- Leading through ambiguity, making use of your soft skills to persuade and build alignment with senior leaders around a vision and approach
- Partnering with a design leadership team to provide feedback and improve our management practices
- Incorporating advancements in the field of product design to guide the skills and practices of our team
- Developing a deep understanding of current design patterns and UX trends, and can guide your design team to use these in practice
