The Warranty Admin is responsible for maintaining and supporting the warranty system in a timely, well documented and organized manner including but not limited to part return trackers; internal and external reporting; and warranty claim and cost recoveries. They will be a "power user" on the Customer Portals for warranty. They must comply with quality system and documentation requirements. They will escalate issues as needed. All while working as part of cross functional teams often including customers. 3. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: - Maintain and support the warranty system in a timely, well documented and organized manner, including but not limited to part return trackers; internal and external reporting; and, warranty claim and cost recoveries. - Work/Manage Customer Portals for warranty (As applicable). - Comply with quality system and documentation requirements. - Escalate issues as needed. - Use statistical tools to resolve issues and support presentations with the customer - Participate in multidisciplinary teams regarding 8 D’s reports - Develop and maintain a warranty part return log including the receipt and "status" through closure of analysis - Maintain and/or assist with internal and customer reports for warranty (for example: Monthly dashboard; 8Ds; etc.) - Support the warranty and quality team as needed for warranty reviews, corrective actions, and reporting - Power User of Customer Portals (for example: Navistar, Paccar): monitor due dates; input responses; and pull reports. - Review customer warranty cost recoveries for validity and report results to meet customer deadlines - Assist Warranty Requirements such as "Work Orders;Shipping; Test Requests; RMAs, etc. - Collect, analyze, interpret and share warranty information appropriately - Monitor customer related warranty data for out of control warranty; report and react accordingly. - Support Warranty Improvement Teams as needed - Prepare customer presentation - Use statistical tools to resolve issues and prepare presentations as applicable. - Provide support as needed by Stoneridge through the supervisor. 4. EDUCATION: Associates required 5. EXPERIENCE: Experience with customers,Technical Background,Background in automotive, Background in manufacturing, or quality 6. KNOWLEDGE: - Excellent English verbal and written communication skills - IT/Computer “proficient” to navigate varied complex customer systems. A) FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES - Excellent teamwork with the ability to work globally - Strong organizational skills. - Self-motivated and Results oriented B) TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES - Microsoft Excel or other expertise required for data handling, graphs, analysis, and presentations with the ability to draw conclusions from the analysis
