As a Senior Associate, Trade Compliance on the Alcon’s Global Trade Compliance team you will be trusted to work on Alcon's trade compliance processes including, customs broker management, entry verification, post entry value reconciliation and duty drawback. In this role, a typical day will include: - Ensure fast and compliant broker entry filings by providing transactional support to customs brokers and stakeholder(s), efficiently working in Alcon’s trade compliance systems, and proactively and effectively communicating with stakeholders to obtain the necessary information for import/export clearance and post entry activities. - Customs broker management - ensure broker performance through KPI management, maintaining broker rules and corrective action plans; responding to broker information requests, ensure POAs are current. - Entry Verification - Validate accuracy of custom entries, monitor error reports and submit corrections to broker as necessary; ensure broker is following Alcon’s rules - Value Reconciliation and duty drawback - Support post entry adjustments to customs value due to transfer pricing adjustments, royalties, and/or freight; support duty drawback activities - Assist with the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Alcon’s global trade compliance program & broker management. - Provide analytical support for projects, new business opportunities, and proposals. WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON: - Bachelor’s degree in Business administration, International Affairs or related field. - The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English. - Travel up to 5%. - 4+ years of confirmed experience. - Familiarity with SAP and GTS is a plus. - Strong data analytic skills.
