We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, bookkeeping, and reporting, with the ability to provide valuable insights to support business decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Payroll
- Oversee bookkeeping and financial reporting processes
- Develop a deep understanding of the business and its connection to the general ledger (GL)
- Produce ad hoc management accounting reports and pro forma Profit and Loss statements (PnLs) for potential products
- Ensure effective integration of inventory, e-commerce, and payment systems with the GL
- Perform monthly book closings and provide ongoing insights into company PnL
- Manage the company's relationship with external tax partners
- Lead process improvement projects to increase efficiency
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
- Deep expertise with Excel or Google Sheets, particularly in data reconciliation
- Familiarity with the US tax system and reporting deadlines
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong grasp of US GAAP or IFRS accounting practices
- Proven ability to close books monthly and provide financial insights
- Experience in process improvement and implementing efficiency measures
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
- Needs to align with Central Time hours
