Responsibilities

The Opportunity

This role has a constant interaction with the tax business stakeholders from North America, being responsible for configuring and maintaining tax data in Vertex O application.

This professional would also be the key point of contact to run tests of system functionalities and performance, whenever new releases, upgrades or projects are being rolled out to Vertex O application. 

Your Impact

As Tax Application Analyst your responsibilities would consist of:

Configuration & maintenance of:

Taxpayers. Taxability drivers. Flex fields. Taxability mapping. Tax assist rules. Look up tables. Tax rules. RTE configuration updates. RFC queue sic log files error analysis. Vertex reporting. Customers. Customer exemption certificates. PQGC pro Qualifications

Who Are We Looking For?

Experience:

Experience working with Vertex O, Mastersaf or similar applications.

Tech skills:

A good working knowledge with tax applications, database (queries) and spreadsheets.

Non tech skills:

Advance in English is a Must. Ability to quickly adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced, customer-focused work environment characterized by rapid change, minimal lead times, and multiple competing priorities. Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills. Ability to communicate with business stakeholders. Strong analytical and trouble shooting skills. A proactive and highly organized individual.

Competencies required:

Bachelor’s Degree or higher emphasizing Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Business, or Finance. Experience working in a finance function or an IT organization supporting tax. Technical savvy and experience collaborating with cross-functional international teams.
