The General Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Mexican plant, focusing on commercial development and operational efficiency. This role requires a strong leader with experience preferably managing global key accounts, ensuring the same level of service and professionalism expected in their home countries.

The General Manager will be responsible for optimizing costs, managing procurement, and developing a high-performing sales team.

Key Responsibilities:



  1. Management and Optimization of Operations and Costs:
    • Control fixed costs and optimize operational expenses.
    • Manage the procurement and supply chain processes efficiently.
    • Make strategic decisions regarding in-plant production versus outsourcing.
    • Ensure rigorous financial reporting and commercial understanding of numbers.


  2. Commercial Development and Leadership:
    • Develop and strengthen the sales team to meet commercial objectives.
    • Supervise and support Key Account Managers (KAMs) to achieve successful key account management.
    • Implement effective sales and marketing strategies tailored to geographical regions and distribution channels.
    • Identify strong team members and mentor the plant manager and sales manager.


  3. Primary Responsibilities in Mexico:
    • Maintain high standards of service for European and American key accounts operating in Mexico.
    • Ensure seamless communication with senior management in Europe and the US.
    • Support departments in the final phases of projects, providing the necessary push to achieve success.
Management and Optimization of Operations and Costs|Commercial Development and Leadership
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English and Spanish is mandatory.
  • Cultural Experience: Experience with American or German work cultures and direct reporting, along with knowledge of the Mexican market.
  • Presence and Communication: Strong presence and exceptional communication skills with Europe and the US.
  • Operational Expertise: Strong track record in managing fixed costs, hiring, cost optimization, and procurement processes.
  • Commercial Acumen: Solid understanding of financials and a data-driven, detail-oriented approach.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven success in similar roles in other countries, capable of managing Key Account Managers (KAMs).
  • Mentorship: Experience and confidence in leadership, capable of mentoring and managing the plant manager and sales manager.
  • Cultural Fit: Ability to work in a friendly, low-conflict environment with a flat hierarchy.
