Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.**JOB PURPOSE:**As Production Scheduler you will own, develop, and manage a production scheduling process that is innovative and promotes maximization of efficiency and optimization of resources/assets internally while retaining enough flexibility to ensure that all customer needs are met in a timely and cost-conscious manner.**Your job duties may include**:- Develops production plan to accommodate customer demand within practical production capabilities and balances the often-conflicting objectives of appropriate inventory levels to achieve optimum costs.- Develops schedules for each prime product configuration, attachments, and related products.- Assists facility supply chain leaders in developing inventory strategies to reconcile fluctuating demand and the need for factory stability while minimizing inventory investment.- Facility expert and maintains thorough and current knowledge and understanding of the complete orders process from pre-order entry questions through final shipment of product for all products.- Interpret product demand into a valid production schedule and execute the schedule to meet customer shipment dates.- Process and coordinate customer orders and order changes with production capacity and commitments- Communicate order status to customers through appropriate channels.- Perform Root Cause Analysis, make recommendations and where applicable implement Corrective Action Plans for issues involving the production schedule and customer delivery.- Work closely with management team and associates in marketing, sales, operations, and engineering to identify and resolve production schedule interruptions.- This position will be the first point of contact for the Demand & Order team and main contact with the facility operations.- Responsible for the integrity and consistency of all order-related data bases- Manage the facility attachment forecasting system.- Updating, and adjusting SAP system - checking for on-time delivery and system discrepancies**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:- University degree related to Supply Chain, and Previous experience of manufacturing scheduling.- Job relevant experience in a supply chain or manufacturing role- Strong knowledge of economic conditions and markets- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills- Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, organization, and communication skills- Excellent organization skills**You will have**:- Working knowledge of Excel- Excellent communication skills (Spanish and English), English conversational- Customer Service- Assertive Communication- Accountable- Self-directed- Proactive- Initiative- Ownership- Prior experience in material planning or any related supply chain or logistics work environment- Experience using SAP system.**We offer**:Our goal at Caterpillar is for you to have a rewarding career.
