Materials Manager Ii

Key Accountabilities- Primary leader for Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) activity: contribute to material procurement timing, order release timing requirements, available capacity, & lead-times. Interacts with Sales to coordinate an overall production plan to meet Customer demand.- Ensures our supplier base has the ability to meet our needs and continuously works to improve the supplier base.- Partners with Manufacturing Engineering, and Operations to select and provide active management of outside service providers.- Drives for material and MRO cost reductions.- Reviews production schedules and related information and coordinates with others to determine material requirements. Adjusts schedules to facilitate changes caused by customer needs or other production demands. Evaluates impact of customer demand changes, advises as to impacts to manufacturing and supply chain to prevent shortage or expedite conditions.- Owns the Master Production Schedule & slot plans for rollouts and obsolescence of global products and ensure a consistent handoff of planning information to the production work cells so that the MPS and production schedules are synchronized.- Leads Capacity Requirements Planning (CRP) processes by gathering & loading information into planning tools, analyzing data, and providing regular updates to local management teams.- Interfaces with Manufacturing cells to track and report production progress, including productivity, capacity shift and finished goods produced.- Coordinates capacity & long-term planning for both sourcing & manufacturing to ensure accurate delivery dates are given. Understands material and machine capacity and constraints.- Identifies long-term supply chain constraints & develops fulfillment plans.- Coordinates with Supply Chain value stream to ensure that supply of parts meets the planned requirements- Acts as a liaison between customer service, sales administration, engineering, production, procurement and logistics departments.- Gathers production metrics and regularly reports internal and global KPIs. Will report to senior management on KPI trending and actions taken to improve KPI performance where it lags to targets.- Makes use of business forecast with easy to access and transparent data & translates into forecast information for sourcing & manufacturing immediate/medium/long-term planning.- Develops, implements and adjusts manufactured and purchased material, component and subassembly order forecasting to achieve inventory plans and lead time expectations.- Leads scheduling discussions with Sales, Supply Chain and Production to focus on a rolling 6 month outlook which feeds directly into the financial forecast.- Understands material and machine capacity and constraints.- Owns inventory and turns. Performs inventory analysis, data collection, reporting and understands global sourcing requirements.- Supports the Financial Planning and Analysis business cycles for budgeting, revenue and cost planning, and inventory forecasting.- Owns the materials and supply chain value stream to ensure that supply of parts meets the planned requirements- Owns shipping, receiving, outside processing, and logistics for the site.DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE, CAPABILITIES AND SUCCESS FACTORS- Bachelor’s degree minimum, MBA preferred- 7-10 years of leadership experience in Purchasing/Production Planning Management position including logistics, preferably in low volume high mix environment- Strong leadership in lean environment, organizational and decision-making skills- Capable to work under pressure, in tight schedule and in a rapidly changing environment- Capable of managing and delegating multiple priorities successfully- Contract negotiation skills- Ability to think strategically and tactically- Excellent written and verbal communication, computer skills and interpersonal skills- Experience with low volume/high mix production- Strong project management, problem-solving, and analytical skills- Must have excellent presentation skills and experience presenting to Executive Staff.- Knowledge of production and inventory management- Strong oral and written communication skills.- Expert proficiency with the use of Excel, Access and Project- Bilingual English Spanish- Available for work in chihuahua, chihuahua, MexicoAbout Regal Rexnord- The Company’s end markets benefit from meaningful secular demand tailwinds, and include factory automation, food & beverage, aerospace, medical, data center, warehouse, alternative energy, residential and commercial buildings, general industrial, construction, metals and mining, and agriculture.
