A luxury hotel in Lanai, Hawaii, is currently seeking a **Director of Landscaping**. The Director of Landscaping will provide supervision and direction for all landscaping functions for the resort. Reporting to the Senior Director of Engineering, the Director of Landscaping will be passionate about insuring the healthful care and culture of all plants, flowers and grounds/lawns throughout both resorts, and will work closely with the Florist to insure interior plants and flowers are also maintained.**Responsibilities**- The Director of Landscaping will provide supervision and direction for all landscaping functions for the resort.- Provides leadership, direction and management for team of 45 landscapers.- Plans, schedules, assigns and supervises the landscaping, seeding, weeding, cultivating, fertilizing and general maintenance of the resort grounds.- Plans and supervises the cultivation, pruning, spraying and transplanting of a large variety of shrubs and trees.- Ability to read and review as-built plans to ensure field conditions are documented.- Ensures that all necessary equipment and tools have been procured and are maintained in high quality working order.- Completes purchase orders and distributes materials and equipment for landscaping maintenance work.- Ensures highest quality landscape environment for a superior guest experience.**Profile**- Bachelor’s degree in Horticultural Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.- The successful Landscaping Director will have three-to-five years of successful landscaping leadership experience in a similar large-scale resort area plus significant understanding of horticulture challenges on an island terrain.- Experience working in a union environment is preferred.- Applicants should have experience as a landscape contractor.**Benefits**- Competitive salary: $130,000 - $140,000 USD annually.- Free medical insurance.- Complimentary meals during shifts.- One-way flight from home city to the U.S.- Temporary housing provided, with future housing arrangements by a third party.**Job Types**: Full-time, ContractPay: $150,000.00 - $155,000.00 per month**Benefits**:- Relocation assistanceWork Location: In person
