Something bold.Are you looking for a place where you will have a role in shaping an industry?A Carrier Operations Rep works in partnership with a specific experienced Carrier Sales Rep. This interaction is a co-dependent relationship between the Sales Rep and the Ops Rep that is based off of one book of business in which each rep is affected by both success and failure. The job of a Carrier Operations Rep is to assist the Carrier Sales Rep in maintaining their established carrier relationships, as well as managing daily operational tasks to allow the Sales Rep to continue to grow and diversify their carrier portfolio. A Carrier Ops Rep should thrive in an operational role, be proactive and proficient at problem solving, practice effective communication skills, and display a positive attitude at work.Daily Tasks & Responsibilities:- Take ownership of the Sales Rep’s carriers and further develop underutilized carriers within your assigned Sales Rep’s portfolio.- Call Sales Rep’s established carriers and log all available trucks in BAZOOKA®.- Offer all matches and record all offers.- Book freight in your region with Sales Rep’s established carriers.- Recognize consistent lanes and pre-book opportunities.- Go over POS notes once loads are booked.- Help answer conference roll over lines.- Help cover conference same day shipments.- Dispatch carriers and track freight for Sales Rep by checking in with drivers in transit.- Update and resolve incidents.- Handle compliance issues, comchek requests.- Ensure receipts, invoices, and PODs are sent to Accounting in timely manner.- Understand Carrier preferred method of communication for books & tracking (electronic tracking).- Effectively communicate with internal and external contacts.Essential Skills, Characteristics & Experience:- Adaptability, multi-tasking skills, sense of urgency- Persuasiveness, assertiveness, and confidence- Effective verbal and written communication skills- Accountability, integrity, honesty- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail- Strong negotiation skills- Persistence and resilience- Ability to build strong relationships and be a team player- Problem solving, issue resolution skills, proactive diligence- Ability to work independently and as part of a teamWhy Coyote?- Onsite training and ongoing career development.- Competitive pay.- Comprehensive benefits package.- Internal advancement opportunities for high performers.- Global opportunities.- Casual dress & many perks.- Diverse and Inclusive environment.- Opportunities to impact the world around you through our 360 sustainability initiatives.Important Notice to US Applicants:Coyote is an at-will employer.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.Please view Equal Opportunity Posters provided by the OFCCP.
