We are in the business of electrical insulation manufacturing, but we really pride ourselves in just being a group of fun, driven, problem solvers who LOVE what we do**The Gund Company: Take Care of Each Other, Take Care of the Customer and Take Care of the Business****Job Summary**Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the Regional Sales Director has responsibility for driving growth of Sales and Gross Profit of all accounts within their region, in alignment with the enterprise goals of the company. The Director will manage and lead the sales personnel in their region. He and the team will follow a detailed sales process to research, contact, and communicate to our customers, the company’s ability to provide products and services that satisfy their requirements while delivering value based on outstanding service, responsive delivery, industry leading quality, and competitive costs.As a leader, the Sales Director continuously improves the business operations in terms of taking care of each other, taking care of the customer, and taking care of the business and has people under its span of care (considered supervisor role)**Summary of essential job functions**:- Lead the execution of the sales process among the sales team within the region to effectively communicate the customer requirements, allowing for efficient and profitable order fulfillment.- Research, develop, and penetrate TGC markets to profitably expand our sales to existing and potential customers at assigned accounts.- Manage the corporate level relationships and sales strategies at key global OEM customers as assigned.- Manage the external Manufacturer’s Rep Firms, to complement selling efforts of our direct team in the assigned territory.- Utilize our company’s Customer Relationship Management software to document and follow up on customer opportunities in a consistent and disciplined manner.- Accurately respond to customer inquiries and quote requests in an expeditious and complete manner.- Follow up on job cost performance using gross margin reports and make necessary quotation adjustments for repeat business.**Other Duties**:- Travel approximately 3 days per week, up to 2x times per month.**Requirements**:**Qualifications and Competencies**- Ability to lead and influence people and teams.- Strong and extroverted interpersonal communication skills to maximize customer interactions.- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing.- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.- Ability to utilize a CRM package and other tools to manage the sales process.- Technically competent and able to provide clear direction.**Education and Experience**- Minimum 10 years** technical sales**with direct account management responsibility, **required**.- Minimum of 5 years of Sales Management Experience, **required**.- Bachelors of Science in **Engineering preferred**(or equivalent experience) **strongly preferred**.- Experience in the **Electrical, Electronic, Aerospace, or Plastics/Composites Industries**.- English level: Fluent for business - Advanced**Work Environment**- The work environment is a combination of office and manufacturing.- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.**Why Join Us?**Our employees our employees enjoy:- A safe and healthy work environment- Competitive wages- Comprehensive, cost-effective employee benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, Life, and Disability- 5% of Savings Fund and 5% of Food Coupons- Regular employee feedback through our IDP (Individual Development Plan)EEO Statement: It is the policy of The Gund Company to recruit, hire, train, and promote employees without discriminating based on race, gender, age, religion, national origin, veteran status, sexual preference, or disability.DisclaimerThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by those assigned to a particular position.
