Senior Project Manager

Responsible for managing projects within the Tax & Accounting business unit in Mexico, to ensure delivery of products and services according to agreed schedules, budget, quality standards and customer requirements.

Develops project plans, timelines, budgets, resource allocation and communicates effectively throughout the project lifecycle.

Ensures risks are identified early on and addressed proactively. Provides leadership and direction to team members as well as other stakeholders involved in delivering projects.

Project Manager's primary responsibility is to lead and manage the successful delivery of projects within the Tax & Accounting business unit in Mexico.

The role involves planning, organizing, monitoring and controlling all aspects of assigned projects from start to finish.

This includes developing project scope, defining project objectives, identifying potential risks and issues, setting realistic goals and timelines, assigning resources, tracking progress and reporting results.

The PM will work closely with internal stakeholders such as product management, sales teams, legal departments, finance teams etc. external partners including clients/customers and vendors to ensure successful delivery of projects within agreed timeframes and budget constraints.

They must also maintain effective communication channels between stakeholders at all levels of the organization, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.

In this opportunity as a Senior Project Manager, you will:

  • Lead and manage projects across multiple areas of Tax & Accounting in Mexico, to ensure delivery of products and services according to agreed schedules, budget, quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop project plans, timelines, budgets, resource allocation and communicate effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify risks early on and address them proactively through risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to identify and prioritize project tasks, coordinate activities among different teams and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Establish clear project objectives, set achievable targets and monitor performance against those targets throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate resources, allocate tasks and manage dependencies to ensure timely completion of projects while meeting quality standards.
  • Monitor project progress regularly and report any deviations or issues promptly to relevant stakeholders.
  • Document project milestones and lessons learned to improve future project execution.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices and processes related to project management.

You are a fit for the role if your background includes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or equivalent field required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in a project manager position within a software development environment, preferably within the tax & accounting industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading complex projects from start to finish.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to convey technical information clearly and accurately.
  • Advanced knowledge of project management tools (e.g. MS Project) and techniques.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter who can work independently and in a team environment.
