Project Manager, Global Packaging Coatings

As a Project Manager, Global Packaging Coatings, you will lead efficient project execution using Project Management capabilities and tools. You will act globally, across technology and market segments to support our business strategy.As a project manager, you will report to Director Segments and Strategic Initiatives, work with leadership and other important team members from PPG’s packaging coatings business as the project representative.**Key Responsibilities**- Lead project execution using Project Management tools and expertise.- Train regional technical/commercial teams on rigorous PM tools and methodology.- Ensure important resources are identified and assigned to projects to achieve business targets. Work with resource holders from different organizations and different levels. Escalate any unresolvable gaps in important resources.- Deliver project scope and commitments (timelines, resources and results), ensure project ownership from project team members.- Manage and excel at important partner communication.- Be an objective voice-of-the business in highlighting relevant risks, presenting options and recommending the best path forward at the individual project level.- Projects will include Compass projects (NPD) in packaging coatings businesses.- Individual contributor**Qualifications**- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.- At least 5 years of product development or related project management experience within a large multinational / matrixed organization.- Experience initiating and supporting product launches in B2B organizations.- Create complete project timelines using multiple input variables, and experience managing the projects to meet those timelines.- Capability to manage multiple complexes, global NPD projects simultaneously.- Determination for action and desire for project execution.- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.**About us**:**PPG: WE PROTECT AND BEAUTIFY THE WORLD****The PPG Way**Every single day at PPG:**We partner with customers to create mutual value.****We are "One PPG" to the world.****We trust our people every day, in every way.****We make it happen.****We run it like we own it.****We do better today than yesterday - everyday.**Benefits will be discussed with you by your recruiter during the hiring process.PPG pay ranges and benefits can vary by location which allows us to compensate employees competitively in different geographic markets.
